ABOUT DISCOVERING HOPE
When Jay and Kara Jones' four year old daughter, Hunter Rose, is faced with a life threatening disease, they find hope in the darkest of places.
Hunter Rose was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma cancer at the age of four in September of 2017. Neuroblastoma is rare and tough to beat childhood cancer with a survivorship of around 50%. The treatment protocol is among the most challenging for all childhood cancers. Hunter Rose's treatment consisted of 2 tumor removal surgeries, 6 cycles or intense chemo, 12 rounds of radiation, dozens of blood and platelet transfusions, 2 stem cell transplants, 6 months of immunotherapy, and a year long cancer vaccine trial. From age 4 to around 7, the hospital and being sick is all she knew.
It is during Hunter Rose's three year long cancer journey, the Joneses find hope and strength in their faith. "Discovering Hope", is an inspirational multiple award-winning short documentary film that dives deep into the Jones' lives during these challenging times, and highlights their faith that got them through it all.
Kara, "It was the most challenging time of our lives, but God never left us and now through 2 Corinthians 1:4 we've been given the authority to comfort others with our testimony."
2. Corinthians 1:4
"who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
